"Attend this session for an interactive quantum computing tutorial. We'll discuss recent scientific advancements making quantum computing a reality, quantum's potential first use cases, and new tools including QISKit, an open-source software developer kit for quantum computing, and IBM Q Experience, a cloud-based quantum computing system being used by more than 60,000 quantum practitioners across all seven continents. Attendees will leave with an understanding of how to run algorithms on a quantum computer and how to get ready for quantum. Nature -- including molecules like caffeine -- follows the laws of quantum mechanics, a branch of physics that explores how the physical world works at the most fundamental levels. At this level, particles behave in strange ways, taking on more than one state at the same time, and interacting with other particles that are very far away. Quantum computing harnesses these quantum phenomena to process information in a novel and promising way, and has the potential to solve problems that are unsolvable by today's classical computers."
